Caesar User Club 2025
DefSec Innovation Hub was proud to participate as a main partner at the third annual Caesar User Club (CUC25) conference, held last week in Prague and at the 13th Artillery Regiment training area in Jince. This marked the first time the event was hosted outside a Francophone country, a testament to the Czech Republic’s growing role in European defence. The event, organized for the Czech Armed Forces by the Head of Artillery, Colonel Marcel Křenek, gathered over 150 participants from nine nations, confirming the CAESAR system’s pivotal role in Allied interoperability.
During the conference, Armenia and Slovenia officially signed the charter of accession, becoming new members and bringing the total number of Caesar User Club states to 12. The Czech Republic had joined the club in 2023. Brigadier General Marchand from the French Army emphasized the critical importance of interoperability in his opening speech: „We must have the ability to prepare our armed forces for cooperation in the operational environment… Interoperability rests on three pillars: technology, our doctrines and procedures, and human capabilities. This conference will help to strengthen these pillars.“

As the main partner, together with the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, the 13th „Jaselský“ Artillery Regiment, and other leading companies, DefSec participated in a program that included dynamic demonstrations of the newly modernized equipment of the Czech Armed Forces.
The CUC conference offered dynamic demonstrations of modernized Czech Armed Forces equipment. The Artillery Regiment presented new command posts on the Titus platform as well as IVECO vehicles in reconnaissance and meteorological versions. The greatest attention was drawn to the Tatra workshop vehicle, which will become a key pillar of the service capabilities of the Caesar fleet.

Dominique Guillet from KNDS, one of the co-organizers, added: „The presentation by the Ukrainian gunners showed a lethal combination of smart tactics and our renowned CAESAR system. Thanks to the excellent organization of the Czech Armed Forces, we felt like part of a brotherhood.“
Colonel Marcel Křenek commented on the main message of the conference: „During the presentations and discussions, a key idea was repeatedly heard: the need to act decisively in the development of interoperability. If we want to ensure NATO’s strategic resilience and the capability for joint artillery operations, we must act in full accordance with Article 5 of the Washington Treaty.“
